Our ideal candidate will have experience in stitching heavy fabrics in a wide variety of methods.
Our client manufactures filter cloth and latex covered filter cloth for a wide variety of applications.
Pay Rate- $12.
50 Hourly with the potential of pay increase after 90 days up to $14 hourly 2nd shift position (Monday- Friday 2:
30pm- 1am) Requirements:
Technical knowledge of the processes and equipment with related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
High school or equivalent diploma is preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to read work orders and patterns.
Duties and Responsibilities Start sewing machinery at the beginning of a shift and test it for proper functionality.
Ensure that all materials and parts are available and gather prior to beginning work.
Address any problems found while sewing Sew missing stitches or replacement parts in accordance to repair instructions provided Attach parts as specified in the work order Ensure that the finished product conforms to the instructions provided in the work order Trim finished bags using scissors and cutters Perform some preventative maintenance such as cleaning and oiling the machine.
